DelaConn is an inaugural, one-of-a-kind, intimate, author/reader event in Newark, Delaware in November 2024. Designed for book lovers, it has attracted some incredible authors in a variety of genres. We can't wait to see you there! ADMISSION IS FREE for readers and guests, so bring your buddies, shop for holiday gifts with our vendors and authors, and enjoy an afternoon of bookish behavior!

Jill Marie Denton has been cooking up some fantastic storylines for more than two decades—when she's not cooking in her professional capacity, that is! Partially inspired by friends, her personal outlook, life lessons, and by women in media, the ladies she writes about are fiercely competitive, endlessly inspired and tirelessly dedicated to their crafts, much like Jill herself. When Jill realized there was something missing in book events in her area, she took the initiative to create a tailored, personal event where readers and authors can get together and discuss what they love most—BOOKS!

Our venue for 2024 is the Sonesta Select Newark Christiana Mall. This beautiful facility is only ten minutes from downtown's Main Street and only six miles from the University of Delaware. Guests can take advantage of the ample free private parking available on-site so you're only a few steps from your favorite authors!
